Why The Growing Place School
We honor the unique talents in every child and personalize their education to nurture each one as the best version of themselves. Our programs honor the capabilities, provoke the curiosities, and develop the academic capacities in all children. Through hands-on experiences, project-based learning, play, and mindfulness based practices, children are happily engage in the fun and love of learning.
Founded in 1963 as a ministry of the First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables, our school and church partnership support the spiritual development of every child.
Clergy are involved with weekly chapel services and participate in classroom activities.
Community outreach is part of our identity. We welcome families from all faiths, races, ethnicities, genders, national origins, and do not discriminate.
Enrolling your child in school is an important family decision. It involves investigating the program that will have a lifelong imprint on a child's development, finding friendships,
and discovering a place to call home away from home.
